The River Cray is a tributary of the River Darent. Like the Darent, it is a chalk stream, which rises from springs near Orpington and flows north to Dartford. The river's sub-catchment covers an area of 124 km2 in total.
The Cray joins the Darent in a shared estuary, where the rivers join and meet the Thames.
