Habitat restoration to help achieve Good Ecological Potential in the Hammer Stream
Description:

This project restored a section of the Hammer Stream to its original meandering course, creating an additional 500m of riparian habitat and by-passing a sluice structure which impedes the movement of fish within this stretch of river. Works of a similar nature had been successfully delivered upstream at both Buckhurst Farm and Ayleswade Farm and this project was designed to similar specification in order to complement these previous schemes, as well as the wider restoration efforts on the River Beult.
